Vital Energi has an ambitious, yet realistic plan to increase turnover fivefold by 2012. To achieve this, we require talented people to join our ever increasing team and in return we can offer excellent career prospects as no project is ever the same, ranging from nationally recognised sporting arenas to major city regeneration with project values ranging from £250k to £15 million.

Due to an increase in the demand for District Heating Schemes throughout the UK, we now need to recruit an M&E Project Engineer.

The position of engineer will be site based and will not be confined to a particular geographical location.

His / Her duties will include: -

*All duties and responsibilities defined under the job description for the junior engineer.
*The provision of full support to the on site operational staff.
*Being fully conversant with the objectives of the contract / project and their role in ensuring that these are achieved.
*Ensure that full dilapidation surveys are carried out prior to works commencing.
*Maintain accurate records on site in relation to levels of materials. Co-ordinate supplies to ensure that programme dates are maintained and that continuity in relation to construction is not affected.
*Monitor and measure the progress of subcontractors against both critical and non-critical programme tasks to achieve optimum outputs / efficiencies.
*Provide daily reports to the on site operational staff to allow overall project control.
*Attend weekly meetings with the site based staff and provide statistical information that will allow them to fully brief the project team and revise any project objectives / goals.
*Collate weekly site records that indicate the level of plant and resources.
*Record and review daily production levels and monitor these against construction programme requirements.
*Record and ensure accuracy of "As Built" information utilising current procedural operations / documentation.
*Collate non-conformance records for all contractors and provide statistical analysis of their performance to site based operational staff and the supplier vendor manager.
*Take responsibility for quality of installation ensuring that both specification and design parameters are met on site.
*Liase with the client's representatives in relation to inspections and ensure that their requirements are clearly understood and are being met.
*Receive and act upon instructions issued by the client or his representative in relation to the contract.
*Deputise for the Project Engineer in their absence.
*All other duties and responsibilities that may be required to fulfil the obligations on Vital Energi in relation to the current contract he or she may be involved in and to ensure that all statutory obligations are meet in relation to health, safety and environmental.

We are looking for somone with a Building Services or M&E background. Civils background would not be suitable.
