As a leading turnkey engineering contractor, we design, install, operate and maintain environmentally friendly energy generation centers and the distribution infrastructure, mainly for new build, in the public/private residential, retail and commercial sectors throughout the UK and Ireland. We work with some of the UK's most respected Property Developers and the top 20 construction companies as well as the UK's leading energy utilities companies.

Vital Energi has an ambitious, yet realistic plan to increase turnover fivefold by 2012. To achieve this, we require talented people to join our ever increasing team and in return we can offer excellent career prospects as no project is ever the same, ranging from nationally recognised sporting arenas to major city regeneration with project values ranging from £250k to £15 million.

Due to further increases in work load from the Public & Private sectors we are now actively looking to appoint another CHP Engineer ideally based in the North West area.

Key duties of this role are:

*Costing, design and build of CHP projects
*Travelling nationwide to perform site surveys and evaluations
*Writing of concise reports and scope of supply documentation
*Client liaison

General:

*Experience of CHP engines and associated equipment
*Experience dealing with small to medium sized projects ideally within the health or commercial business sector.
*Experience of Construction Design & Management (CDM)
*An understanding of CHP QA requirements
*Ability to plan program timescales
*An understanding of LTHW and steam systems
*Ability to calculate fluid flow, and sizing of pipework/ductwork
*An understanding of safety and maintenance requirements

Specific:

*You should hold suitable mechanical / electrical qualifications
*Ability to use AutoCad 2D or 3D
*Minimum two years project experience
*Minimum two years experience with either CHP in general or specific to an engine supplier/manufacturer
*Ability to communicate at all levels, eg client, consultant, supplier and sub contractor
