A leading plastics manufacturing company with a foot-hold within many construction sectors covering: Power & Energy, Oil and Gas, Water and Utilities amongst other growing sectors. The main function of the business is to manufacture: Silos, Tanks, Gas, Scrubbers, Ductwork and Pipework from plastic materials, working to set designs and specifications. Due to expansion and a demand in the market, opportunities have now arisen for Glass / Plastic Fabricators / Laminators to undertake:
- Mixing and preparing resins
- Preperation and cutting of glass mats and woven rovings
- Manufacture of nozzles and fittings on moulds
- Butt and Socket Fusion using nozzles and fittings
- Fabrication assembly and fitting of pipework including valves, filters, pumps and instrumentation
- Hydrostatic testing of vessels
- Assembly of vessels including application of overlay laminates
- Accurately marking vessels for the correct fitment of nozzels and brackets
- Preperation for dispatch
With a previous background within plastic fabrication / lamination, suitable candidates will need to have experience of:
- Reading and following drawings
- Fabrication of Chemical Storage Vessels
- Chemical Scrubbing Systems
- Ductwork
- Pipework covering a range of Thermoplastic Materials of differing diametres
- Steel fabrication related skills
- Joinery skills
- Hot gas welding, socket and butt fusion
- Experience covering and working with a range of thermopastic materials
Additional requirements for suitable candiates:
- A full clean driving license
- Problem solving abilities
- Supervisory experience
- High standards of health and safety
