Our client is a leading fit out and refurbishment contractor based in Surrey. Together we are actively looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on projects across London & the South East. Working initially on the final accounts to a prestigious hotel development in Central London (value £10m) with a view to winning the next stage of the project, beyond candidates will also work on high spec residential, commercial offices & other refurbishment schemes.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing cost-analysis and estimating process against an agreed Schedule of Rates.
- Management of all financial matters.
- Procurement of all sub-contract works.
- Procurement of all supply items (via Purchasing Department).
- Preparation of interim valuations.
- Chairing site & client progress meetings.
- Managing interim payments to sub-contractors.
- Regularly updating projected final accounts.
- Mentoring & leading more junior commercial staff
- Regular updating and managing cash flow forecasts
- Preparation and agreement of all final account matters.
- Monthly cost/value reconciliation.
- Pricing of all contract variations.
Experience Required- Main contractor experience working on commercial, leisure or residential refurbishment projects
- Experience of leading Project & Assistant Quantity Surveyors
- Experience of negotiating final accounts of £7.5m or more
