Our client is one of the worlds leading multi-disciplinary consultancies working across a diverse range of industry sectors. A need has arisen within the business to bring in a Senior Mechanical Engineer within the Water Operationsteam to undertake the following duties:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be required to work on wastewater and potable water engineering design projects.
Essential criteria
* The appointed engineer must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and must be Chartered with the IMechE or alternative appropriate body
* Extensive experience of outline and detailed mechanical design work, with both clean water and wastewater experience
* Proven understanding of the design process and ability to demonstrate working knowledge of brief/scope documents, design concepts as well as significant experience technically
* A strong focus on Health and Safety in design and knowledge of the relevant regulations
* Proven ability and experience in providing a customer focused service and ensuring clients are satisfied
* Computer literate and able to work effectively with the basic Microsoft suite of programmes as a minimum
Responsibilities
* The role of Senior Mechanical Engineer within the MEP department will require the individual to undertake the following duties:
* Liaison with Clients both internal and external
* Working as part of a project team to deliver high quality technical work to clients on budget and to programme
* Providing detailed technical input to a variety of feasibility, outline and detailed design projects
* Providing technical support as required to other members of the project team
* Technical report writing
* Site Visits
* Adherence to the QSE procedures
