This multi-discipline property and construction consultancy in Oxford now require an Intermediate Mechanical Building Services Engineer. You will have must have a minimum of HND in Building Services Engineering (Mechanical) with a minimum of three years experience in the design of Building Services Engineering systems gained within a consulting engineering background, including experience in schools, offices, healthcare and residential buildings. Experience in specialist sectors such as data centres, leisure and sports facilities is highly desirable. You will have a clear and consistent mind-set that seeks to deliver excellent value for their clients. You will also have excellent AutoCAD expertise with knowledge of iSBEM and IES would be beneficial. You will have good general IT skills including MS Word, Excel and Outlook with the ability to compile reports, manage information streams and minute regular progress meetings with clients and contractors. You will preferably be familiar with witnessing of commissioning for mechanical systems and competent to carry out snagging of mechanical building services systems and be capable of assisting in carrying out Condition and Due Diligence M & E surveys, inspections and reporting thereon. You will be capable of developing and progressing designs passed down from senior engineers, and assist in specification writing and plant/equipment scheduling. Assist in document control/ management procedures ane be capable of carrying out design for ductwork and pipework sizing, building heat loss and cooling load calculations, and plant and equipment selection. You must hold a full clean driving licence and be willing to travel to all parts of the UK, which will involve staying away overnight on occasions and you must also be prepared to undertake further training as necessary.
