Mechanical & Electrical Quantity Surveyor – Norfolk

Due to an increasing workload in London and the South East, we are currently recruiting for an M&E/Building Services Quantity Surveyor for a £13M project in Norfolk. Based on site, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day commercial running of the job. Ideally will have 5-7 yrs experience with an established M&E Contractor. A degree qualification in Quantity Surveying is also required along with knowledge and experience of JCT & NEC forms of contract.
Duties include:
- Preparing post contract enquiries
- Assessment of contract variations
- Preparing and agreeing schedules
- Financial management of mechanical and electrical works
- Financial and contractual control of sub-contractors accounts
- Issuing of contractual notices and evaluate loss and expense/acceleration claims
- Liaising with the client, main contractor and other departments
- Measurement & pricing of variations and valuations
- Regular review and negotiations with sub-contractors
- Production of cash flow / costs / forecasts
- Working with the project team to oversee that appropriate records are kept and timely notifications are made to interested parties
