My client is a successful and long established specialist landscaping subcontractor. Part of their business is made up from a department specialising in sports pitches- both natural and artificial. My client is seeking a Contracts manager to run 3/4 projects at any one time ranging from £50,000 to £3m.
Ideally you will come from a specialist sports pitches background but also candidates from more general civil engineering or specialist groundworks/earthworks subcontracting will be considered.
You should have an interest in keeping a stringent level of quality and have experience of earthworks, drainage, stone base construction and sub contractor management. This role will cover anywhere in the UK south of Nottingham.
Duties include-
ensuring that all projects are managed in a consistent, commercial and professional manner from initial enquiry through procurement and delivery completion, settlement and archive of all relevant project material.
Proactive business development, generate enquiries, follow up, convert to contracts, oversee contracts and assume complete financial accountability. To undertake all the foregoing in a timely and efficient manner.
Organise staff under your control,including and maintaining Health and Safety Standards.
Ensure economical and efficient use of company resources throughout all activities.
Maintain standards of excellence, ensuring the continuance of the companys reputation and client satisfaction.
Produce significant contribution to annual turnover of contract work and related activities and demonstrate commercial viability.
Attend and contribute to Management Team Meetings, normally held on a monthly basis.
