Position:Zone Logistics Head(Zone core team)

Responsible to: Zone Manager (Zone Core Team), Logistics Manager (Project core team)

Responsible for: Monitor the construction of infrastructure and coordination of other work scopes outside of the Zone Parcels (i.e. roads works).

Direct Reports:Tower Logistics team

Duties:

  • Prepare and control project overall temporary facilities, roads and logistics strategy to support construction, based on the schedule for the delivery of the various Zones and portions thereof.
  • Development of related documentation for inclusion in the Division 0 of Specifications, titled General Requirements.
  • Updating of the Logistics Plan as the work progresses.
  • Direct Responsibility for ensuring adequate security measures are taken in order to prevent vandalism within the Zone site premises.
  • Review and approve along with Superintendent, Contractors site logistics plans. Monitor and control subsequent use of site by all Contractors.
  • Assist the General Construction Manager and Zone Managers in the establishment of the packaging strategy for the coordination of infrastructure and road works and the updating of the same as the work progresses.
  • Assist the clients Design Manager to plan and develop design consultant contracts, including activities relating to or interfacing with the outside design consultant’s work.
  • Assist to monitor A/E’s performance in the conduct of design programs according to the established packaging strategy, including adherence to schedule, cost, and standards codes, design coordination activities, and the production of construction tender documentation which would include securing appropriate approvals from the Owner and local regulatory authorities.
  • Conduct of design reviews and participate in A/E Value Engineering Workshops (if any. Participate in regular design progress / coordination meetings, as established by the clients Design Manager.
  • Oversee preparation and assembly of construction tender documentation and approval by the Owner and other government agencies. Provide assistance in the development of scope of work documentation for inclusion in construction tenders.
  • Give timely recommendations and directions to mitigate and resolve any problem that might arise during the construction period.
  • Co-ordination of effective & pro-active Coordination management of the infrastructure and roads construction activities including all technical submittals process (material submittals, method statements, shop drawings, commissioning and handover).
  • Co-ordination of infrastructure and roads activities with construction works and hardscape / landscape.
  • Provide technical support for construction activities, as directed by the Zone Manager.
