Job Description:

The purpose and responsibilities of this role are:

·Ensure delivery of umbilical systems to opportunities, projects and assets

· Develop and maintain umbilical systems design philosophies and functional requirements

·Assurance engineering in the form of reviewing and approving contractors’ design output and verifying compliance with company specifications and standards as well as HSE rules and guidelines

·Support installation and commissioning activities

·Support Operations engineers in the form of providing engineering expertise input to troubleshoot and/or repair any failures

· Act as Technical Authority for Umbilical systems and a custodian of WEL related engineering standards

·Mentor junior engineering staff

This role sits within a multi-disciplinary team in the Subsea function at this Australian oil and gas major.

Requirements:

·Strong experience with Umbilical systems design, manufacturing and installation, as well as all associated Subsea and topside interfaces.

·Working knowledge of all industry relevant standards and regulations

·General knowledge of Subsea Control Systems

·Knowledge of cost estimating procedures and practices
