Job Description:
We are seeking Maintenance Planners to join our strategic planning team based in the Oil Sands located in Fort McMurray.
Undergeneral supervision of the planning manager, you will perform variousmaintenance planning activities which will maximize: operating profit,equipment reliability and reduce down time using scheduled maintenancemost effectively.
A few of your responsibilities will include:
Preparingof job plans detailing the scope of work (what & how) as well asrequired resources (labour, materials, special tools / equipment andcontractors), detailing required size & duration.
Liaising with the Supervisors on problems and any other important changes that may influence planned maintenance activities.
Understandingthe resources available from onsite and off site suppliers for theplan, including equipment, materials, tradesmen, servicemen, labourersand contractors.
Identifying potential improvement opportunitieswith Maintenance Management Systems and develop, implement process toimprove the long term maintenance planning and scheduling at oil sands.
As the successful candidate, you will possess these qualifications and experiences:
- A University Degree in engineering or;
- AnInter-Provincial Trades certificate or Technician’s Diploma from arecognized college, paired with a professional certification oraffiliation related to maintenance management practice.
- At least 1 + years of Oil, Gas or Energy industry experience;
- Workingknowledge of SAP plant maintenance module or similar maintenanceplanning system and competency in Microsoft Office Applications.
- Your knowledge of Primavera P3e/MS Project is considered a plus.
Weenvision our maintenance planners to display excellent communicationand personnel management skills, have the ability to liaise at alllevels with the client and have a great understanding of MaintenanceManagement Systems and practices.
