I had a wry smile on my face when i read the view from the concrete contractor, Paul Salmon of Byrne Brothers, he rightly espouses Health and Safety in the concrete industry yet when I bought over a remote control non entry cleaning machine to stop men getting into the back of concrete mixer drums to clean them out I could not get any of the main concrete suppliers to sign up to the idea, yet they all told me it will be needed if somebody dies in the back of a mixer drum which strikes me as a form of Russian Roulette.
"If someone dies" - that is indeed an unreal statement for anyone to come out with.
I propose a 'Hit-List' for us all to start Naming and Shaming these idiotic excuses for safety management ?

I have just had a similar disscusion to this with a man who sells a superb quick hitch alarm system and his thoughts run the same as those of the above , it seems this reaction is a bit more common place than we would like. Maybe naming and shaming would work but being old school i prefer tar and feathers, much more permanant.
Forced to be political , cos someone killed practical LONG LIVE PRACTICAL
