hi there,
I'm new in the construction and plant hire business. I would like to know if there is any reading material/websites/books that I could look at to understand the basics of plant hire and construction?
Things like the type of machines and their applications; introduction to plant hire; case studies on new businessess starting up etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi Malingo,
A good book to get you started is Construction UK: An Introduction to the Industry. It was recommended to me and I've found it an excellent first step into learning about construction.
Will let you know more as and when I think of them!
Gents you can try waterstones book shop ( i know , no laughing now ) there you will find Chudley and Greeno building construction hand book this contains current building regs and Phil Hughes health and safety in construction this contains the nebosh constructions test aids as well
