hi there,

I'm new in the construction and plant hire business.  I would like to know if there is any reading material/websites/books that I could  look at to understand the basics of plant hire and construction?

Things like the type of machines and their applications; introduction to plant hire; case studies on new businessess starting up etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Malingo,

A good book to get you started is Construction UK: An Introduction to the Industry. It was recommended to me and I've found it an excellent first step into learning about construction.

Will let you know more as and when I think of them!
