A visiting sub contractor decided to borrow the JCB 926 to "self load" his vehicle. He was neither authorised or competent and failed to notice how close he was to an open excavation. Had the JCB 926 toppled the other way the unauthorised individual would have been killed or seriously injured. He escaped unscathed.
He was lucky no-one was working in the excavation too!!!
It was very early in the morning, long before the official start time for other workers. "Lne working" on construction sites a major hazard.
