Health, Safety, Quality and Environment Advisor – Civil Engineering Permanent position


London (multiple sites)

About this Role:

My client is one of the leading Civil Engineering contractors in the UK.

They are looking for a Senior Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Advisor to work in their Power Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for looking after a number of Substation and Pipeline projects in and around London.

They would be particularly interested in speaking to those with a background in;

Power - (National Grid / Power Distribution)

Rail Infrastructure

Water & Wastewater

Role Profile

The purpose of this role is to provide functional Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental advice, guidance and coaching to Project Teams.

This is an excellent opportunity within an ever expanding organisation who are involved in a wide range of Civil Engineering activities.

Reporting directly to the Health and Safety Director, the SHEQ Advisor will be responsible for; Keeping all sites up to date with Health and Safety legislation, liaise with site managers, project managers and project directors on site Health and Safety, implement site Health and Safety policies and procedures and also maintain and implement the companies health and Safety management systems.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

Previous experience in relevant field of Civil Engineering and Health & Safety

NEBOSH General Certificate

Technician grade membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH) or above

NEBOSH Construction Certificate (Construction activities)

NEBOSH diploma

NVQ level 5 or above in Occupational Health & Safety

Working towards chartered membership of IOSH – CMIOSH

Quality and Environmental certificates
